CAPERS

The CAPERS are buds of a small branched shrub with a prostrate-recumbent habit. The plant bunds are usually consumed (called capers), and more rarely its fruits (knownas cucunci).

 Widely spread and grown since ancient times in the whole Mediterranean basin, our capers are available all the year, as they are preserved in salt. In fact, at the time of their packaging, we guarantee a proper salting, as required by law, mixing them with the maximum amount of salt allowed, which ensures the preservation and maintenance of the organoleptic properties present. Our selection of the best capers offers three different qualities and according to the size of their calibers, we divide them into three macro-families: medium, small and very small, packaged in various sizes.Capers are usually used to aromatize dishes and they are good with a great variety of foods: from meat, to fish, to pasta. The active substances have diuretic properties, protect blood vessels and help digestion.
